Staying the Plague

Can you imagine being asked by God to run out among the Israelite people swinging an incense burner and trying to get ahead of a plague that’s killing people as fast as you can run? Can you imagine doing this at 100 years old? That’s what Aaron did. That’s what we must all do if we’re going to make a difference in this world plagued by sin and corruption. According to Pastor Schuetz, we’re all called to stay the plague.
WORK DAY TOMORROW!!
Join us at the church tomorrow morning (5-21-11) at 8am for work day. We will be working on hooking up the stove in the kitchen, getting the nursery ready, and getting our outside sign ready to hang. Dinner will be served around noon. We will see you there.
Awesome Midweek Service
Bro. John Riley brought the mid-week service on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He preached “REPENT!!” Even if you were the only human on earth, Jesus would have still came and died for you, because he loves you.
Put your hands up in front of you, like you are holding a ball. That is your “world”. Now, let’s say that everywhere you go, everyone that you come in contact with is holding their “world” in front of them. Your world is constantly turning, and so is theirs. When you meet this person, your worlds interconnect, and you leave a part of your world in theirs. What are you going to leave? Will it be something that reflects your Christianity? This may be the only time this person will ever get a chance to hear about Jesus. Is his/her blood going to be on your hands? Bro. Riley really gave us food for thought.
If you missed this annointed, spirit-filled service, you really missed a blessing. Remember, YOU ARE SOMEBODY, you are a child of the King, and Jesus died for YOU!
30 Minute-30 Day Challenge
Sis. Kathryn Edwards (worship leader) challenged everyone to join her in pledging to pray for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. Seems simple enough, right? Can you do it? We would love for each and every one of you to join us in our pledge. If you can, write down your thoughts, circumstances/people you prayed for, etc., every day (or at least a couple times a week). At the end of the 30 days, read back over and see where God has blessed. We are looking forward to hearing about great things and God moving in your lives.
