Can God Get Any Greater?
I ask that in all seriousness. God is amazing. We spent the whole day at the church on Thursday getting the platform set up and the half of the sanctuary piled with junk cleaned out. Today we had services in what is beginning to look very much like a church. We have a beautiful platform, except that they had to cut it in half to get it out of the old building. When we put it back together they turned it a different direction. Now it’s longer. We are going to have to get the carpet repaired. It’s amazing what sawing a carpeted platform will do to it. We still have to get the snake set up and the sound booth and projector with the computer together. But all in all it was a great day.
Services in Our New Building Tomorrow
It has been a year since our church was born. Just like any church or organization, we’ve gone through several different stages of growth. Some of them have been pretty painful, and others seemed to slip past too quickly. We spent the first 3-4 months getting the building ready, including painting, moving walls, carpeting, wallpaper, etc. It was a lot of work and a lot of money, but it was worth it. We knew it was a lot of expense to put into a rented building, but it was necessary.
Now God has blessed us with a new building. Only we’re buying this one. Now when we paint, move walls, wallpaper, carpet, etc. it will be for us, the church, and ultimately for Christ. We have so much more room and so many more things we want to accomplish now. God has been so good to us. We can do many of the ministries he’s placed in our hearts. The youth can have their own place to worship now and children’s church can grow. It’s time to get our women busy with the many things we have been looking forward to doing. God has been so good to us.
Sunday, August 1st will be our first service in the new building. Although we won’t have air-conditioning, we will have an amazing anointing and God’s presence. It’s at 306 1/2 N. Robb, in Trinity, TX. If you’re in the area drop by. We’d love a visit.
Pastor Schuetz’ Daily Devotion
John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. From where do we draw our strength? Are we Christians?
As Christians we are connected to the vine of Jesus. We should be drawing our live from him. We will feel the heat of the sun and the cold snow. We still draw our live from Jesus. God the Father created this world and Jesus knows what this world will do and become. He told us that we would suffer for him in this world. If the world came against him, it will come against us. He also told us in Revelations that in the end he would come and get us and that nothing in this world could take our reward from us unless we give it away. If we draw our thoughts from Jesus his thoughts will be flowing through us. His love will be flowing through us. His life will be flowing through us.
Prayer: Dear Jesus as we call upon you please continue to show us your peace and victory. Continue to show us your hand working in our life. We do not want to be cut from the vine. We need you and thank you for all that you are going to do in our lives today and ask that you will continue to get us through the battles of this day. Let us stay in you as you provide the refuge and the fortress and the peace and the victory we need for today. We love you, Jesus, and know that you are Lord and our King.
If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. 1 Pet 4:11
Dr. Schuetz will teaching on gifts starting this Thursday at 7:00. Please join us for this study in God’s Word. When God gives you an assignment, He is faithful to give you the skill. Let us study our skills to reveal our assignments.
NEW BUILDING
Please pray about the chance God has given us to get a new building. Our lease will be up on our present location on July 10th and we need to find something less expensive. It will be nice to be able to buy something so that when we put money and effort into it, we will own it. God has opened such a building so please pray for His will.
Awesome Prayer Meeting
Tonight was our first official prayer meeting at the church since we got our new prayer coordinator. Joy Beall is doing an amazing job. Thanks so much for all you are doing. God is so honored and we are all so blessed.
We got the DVD’s of the first three weeks of the Mike Schuetz Jr’s End Time’s teaching finished. They are in the display case in the foyer. Please take only one set per family. We are working on some other videos that will be available, including Kathryn Edwards and both Pastor Schuetz.
